Wakefield Master Plan Public Workshop: April 6, 2022

Last year's Vision 2030 project will serve as the foundation during the in-depth Master Plan process.

Wakefield’s Planning Board, with support from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and a community-member advisory board, has launched Wakefield’s Master Plan project. A Master Plan is a strategic framework that guides the Town’s future physical and economic development based on the community’s vision and goals. It provides a roadmap of strategies and recommendations for the next ten years. Last year’s Vision 2030 project will serve as the foundation during the in-depth Master Plan process.

The first public workshop will take place virtually on April 6, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. In this interactive session, participants will discuss two of the eight Master Plan topics: Land Use and Zoning (growth, enhancement, and preservation areas) and Open Space and Recreation (parks, squares, and leisure. This event will be followed by a three-week community survey for expanded input.
