Wakefield Road Work Scheduled For This Week

WAKEFIELD, MA — Traffic alert: Paving preparations are scheduled to begin at the intersection of Lowell and Vernon Streets on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. The intersection will first be milled, which involves the removal of the top layer of pavement, with casting adjustments to follow over the next few days. Detours will be in effect at various times during this work. Commuters should opt for an alternate route, if possible, and allow extra time if traveling through the area is necessary.
