Dombroski will be targeting the seat of state Sen. Jason Lewis of Winchester. Lewis, first elected in 2014, sits in a number of leadership roles on Beacon Hill, including the Senate chair of the Education Joint Committee.

Lewis rebuffed a strong challenge from Melrose resident Sam Hammar in 2018, winning by fewer than 2,000 votes, but easily dispatched Republican Erin Calvo-Bacci in the general.
