5 Things, August 20: Get Ready for High School 4-Day Course Offered

Monday calls for partly sunny skies, with a high near 78, according to National Weather Service. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

2. Walpole Seniors to Visit Channel 5 Studio in Needham

The Walpole Council on Aging is hosting a trip to tour the Channel 5 news studio to see how the TV station operates. Included in the trip is lunch at Volanti Farm in Needham. The trip leaves at 10:00 a.m.

3. Get Ready for High School 4-Day Course Offered

This course orients students to some of the important aspects and expectations of .  Students will be introduced to the physical layout of the high school, who’s who at WHS, and the skills required to make high school a positive experience. Study skills will be highlighted.

4. Baby Book Time at Walpole Library

The will be hosting a Baby Book Time in the Children's Activity Room at 10:30 a.m. Moms can come and choose from a number of selections to read their baby including stories, rhymes and songs. Drop-ins are welcome.

5. Next Generation Children's Centers of Walpole Open House

Next Generation Children's Center in Walpole will be hosting an open house throughout the day today. The early childhood education center has programs for infants through kindergarten. They offer part-time and full-time schedules.
