Walpole Obituary: Eleanor M. (Dwyer) Mellett

A Mass will be held for Ms. Mellett at the Blessed Sacrament Church on East Street in Walpole, Thursday at 9:00 a.m.

Mrs. Eleanor M. (Dwyer) Mellett age 86 years died in the Ellis Nursing Center, Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, July 28th, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 15th, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Louise (Tambeau) Dwyer. She was raised in Roslindale and attended Roslindale High School part of the Class of 1943. Mrs. Mellett worked as a telephone operator for 6 years and left New England Telephone Company in 1952. A resident of Walpole since 1972 moving here from Roslindale where she had lived for over 20 years.

She loved to read, to shop and to walk. Her greatest joy came from being with and taking care of her family, and watching her grandchildren grow.

Beloved wife of Paul J. Mellett Loving mother of Michelle M. and her husband Neal Madden of Pawcatuck, CT and Paul J. and his wife Susan Mellett of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of David, Patrick Madden, Nichole and her husband Carl Sun all of CT and Erin and Brian Mellett of Walpole. Great grandmother of Connor Sun. Sister of Louise Grimley of Centerville, the late Francis Dwyer the late William Dwyer, the late Mary Brophy, and the late Alice McMahon.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt #27 @ Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday, August 2, 2012 @ 9AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
