Walpole Obituary: Mary J. Foster

Mary J. (Nicastro) Foster, 84, formerly of East Walpole died August 20 in the Life care in Raynham.

Born in East Walpole, December 17, 1927, the daughter of the late Euplio and Josephine (Rossi) Nicastro, Mrs. Foster was raised and had lived in East Walpole for most of her life.

She had lived in the Arbors Assisted Living in Taunton for 3 years prior to entering Life care.

A graduate of Walpole High School she had worked as an assembler for the Polaroid Corporation for many years.

Mary’s greatest joy was raising her family and being with her granddaughters.

She is survived by her sons John R. Foster, Jr. and his wife Kara of Taunton, Paul D. Foster of New Hampshire and Stephen L. Foster of California.

She is also survived by her granddaughters Karly A. and Kenzie M. Foster.

Her Funeral will be held from the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main St. Walpole Friday at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00.

Following cremation burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
