Walpole Obituary: Timothy J. Walsh

Timothy J. Walsh died in Weymouth, Massachusetts on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Born in Clair, Ireland, he was the son of the late Timothy and Bridget (Kelly) Walsh. He was educated in Ireland, and graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology with the class of 1962. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 46 years moving there from Hyde Park.

Mr. Walsh worked as a carpenter for 30 years and was a member of the Boston Carpenter’s Union.

He was a member of the Galway Hurling Club in Boston and ran an Irish Dance Hall at Field’s Corner.

Mr. Walsh enjoyed watching Boston Sports and traveling to Ireland and Florida every year. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Beloved husband of the late Catherine T. (Higgins) Walsh. Loving father of Timothy J. Walsh, Jr. of Barnstable, Eileen M. McCabe of Walpole, Kathleen T. Parnaby of Weymouth, and Shawn W. Walsh of Ocoee, FL. Cherished grandfather of 12. Brother of Bridie Walsh of England, Maureen Nardone of Washington, DC, Eileen Naughton of Ireland, the late Anne, Kathleen, John, and Paddy.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, August 13, 2012 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
