Walpole Police Department Entrance Exam On Saturday, Oct. 30
Qualified candidates must register no later than tomorrow, Oct. 26th.
WALPOLE, MA - The Walpole Police Department announced today that it is seeking qualified candidates for the position of full-time Police Officer to serve and protect the citizens and visitors of Walpole, Massachusetts.
The Town of Walpole is a picturesque community located 17 miles southwest of downtown Boston, boasting strong schools and hardworking residents with a population just over 24,000. It is an excellent community to live and work. The Walpole Police Department consists of a dedicated group of highly trained men and women committed to protecting and serving the community.
The Walpole Police Department offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits, including educational incentives that includes pay increases of 10% for an associates degree, 20% for a bachelors degree, and 25% for a masters degree, according to a department statement.

Candidates should arrive at the test site by 9 a.m. on October 30. All candidates shall bring two #2 sharpened pencils and a government-issued identification. Smart watches and similar devices will not be allowed at the test site. Cellular telephones are not permitted. Candidates who fail to follow examination requirements and instructions my be removed from the test site and disqualified from the process.

Also, candidates must possess at least an associate’s degree (or equivalent credits) from an accredited college or university, or possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and have achieved veteran’s status with the United States Armed Forces as defined by Massachusetts General Law. In addition to other qualifications, candidates must obtain a valid Massachusetts driver's license on date of appointment.
