3-Alarm Fire In Waltham
Crews fought flames at the Acton Metal Processing building Wednesday morning.
WALTHAM, MA — Bacon Street is back open after firefighters fought a building fire at 41 Athletic Field Road Wednesday morning. When crews arrived, there was heavy fire showing at the Acton Metal Processing Corporation, not far from Leary Field.
Crews called it a two-alarm fire before 8 a.m. and it became a three-alarm shortly after, asking for more help. Crews from Weston, Newton, Arlington, Cambridge and Lexington came to pitch in.
"Three alarms is where our trucks stop, everyone is at the fire at that point," said Lt. Scott Perry, a spokesperson for the department.

It's probably best to steer clear of the entire area on your morning commute as crews finish cleaning up. Bacon Street at Emerson was closed for at least an hour earlier this morning.
