One man who lives in the same building in the unit next to the one on fire said his brother woke him up just before 9 a.m. He said he didn't hear smoke detectors going off, didn't think to grab anything but put on his socks and threw on his slippers and ran outside and into the cold rain.
"And that's when I saw the fire," said Sebastian Aguino.

The heavy wind conditions didn't help firefighters as they worked to put out the flames, which appeared to be mostly contained to the top unit in the building at 97 Chestnut Park, unit 3.
Neighbors said they believed only one person lived in the top unit and one person in the lower unit. It's not yet clear how much damage was done or how many will be displaced.
