Bentley Goaltender A Semifinalist For National Player Of The Year Award

Connor Hasley was named a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award, given to the best American-born Division I hockey player in New England.

WALTHAM, MA — Bentley's Connor Hasley was named a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award, which is presented annually to the best American-born Division I college hockey player in New England.

Hasley is one of 26 players up for the award and he is one of four goaltenders to be a semifinalist.

From North Tonawanda, New York, Hasley is having a stellar junior season for the Falcons.

He is second in the nation in shutouts with five and 24th nationally in goals against average at 2.27. His 12 wins have helped the Falcons be in a strong position in the Atlantic Hockey standings with three weekends left in the regular season.

The Gridiron Club of Greater Boston presents the Walter Brown Award, which is the nation's oldest nationally-recognized college hockey honor.

The Falcons have a past winner in Bentley Hall of Famer Brett Gensler from 2012. He is the only Atlantic Hockey player to have ever won the award.
