Bentley Golf Freshman, Team Break Scoring Record
The Falcons and freshman Alexandra Kwon recording scoring records at the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Golf Championships.

SUTTON, MA — Sunday's opening day of the 2024 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Golf Championships saw the Bentley University Falcons record the best team score in the program's short history and freshman Alexandra Kwon (Westford/Westford Academy) post the best 18-hole score by a Falcon.
Playing at the Blackstone National Golf Club, Bentley finished with a 340, good for fifth place among the six competing teams. It improved on the first-year program's previous best by 14 strokes. Four of the team's five players improved on their second nine holes and the other shot the same.

Kwon broke the school record of 82 by two strokes with her 80 putting her in a tie for 12th in a 30-player field. Her afternoon included birdies on the par-three third and the par-four ninth, her final hole of the day.
Freshman Tanya Chowdary (Belle Mead, N.J./Wardlaw Hartridge School) matched her collegiate best with an 82 and finished the round in a tie for 15th. Like her teammate, she birdied the third hole.

Junior Jillian Miles (Rutland, Vt./Rutland Academy) and freshman Ryley King (Barnstable/Barnstable HS) both achieved new Falcon bests, with scores of 86 and 92, respectively. Miles had three birds in a four-hole stretch and posted a 38 over her final nine holes.
At the midpoint of the championships, there is a three-way tie at the top with Erin Earl (New Haven), Kesinee Prukmathakul (Franklin Pierce) and Wynter Flores (New Haven) all posting a one-over 73. In the battle for the team championship, New Haven and Franklin Pierce are deadlocked at 303.
Monday's final round is scheduled for a 7:30 am start.
