Bentley's Schouten Named National Defensive Player Of The Week

Henry Schouten compiled 19 tackles while forcing and recovering a fumble in Bentley's win over Southern Connecticut.

WALTHAM, MA — Bentley junior linebacker Henry Schouten has been named the National Player of the Week for defense, D2football.com announced.

Schouten totaled 19 tackles, recovered a fumble that he forced, and tallied a sack during Bentley's home-opening win, 34-24, over Southern Connecticut (Sept. 20).

The Englewood, Florida native erupted after totaling 11 tackles between Bentley's first two games. His 19 tackles are the most by a Falcon since Salvatore Lupoli Jr. amassed 23 tackles at Saint Anselm (Oct. 7, 2023).

The 3-0 Falcons host New Haven during Falcon Weekend Saturday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.
