As for a preview of the events featured in this column, fans of the Apple TV show "Ted Lasso" have an opportunity to see the actor behind Roy Kent, Brett Goldstein, at the Boch Center this weekend.

On Friday, Violent Femmes will play their entire debut album while hip-hop upstart BLP Kosher takes the stage at Big Night Live.

On Sunday, the LA jazz scene staple Thundercat brings his "In Yo Girl's City" tour to Boston with a performance at MGM Music Hall with support from TiaCorine.
