About Our Community Friends Beyond Boston – Waltham Social (20s–40s) is a local community built around genuine connection, small events, and welcoming spaces where people can actually get to know each other. We put a lot of care into creating a friendly, intentional environment, both at events and between them. We’re also slowly moving to our new home on Heylo, where members can stay connected more easily. The café’s cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to connect with others, unwind, and start your morning with community. We’ll get together for friendly conversation and a laid-back morning together. This event is great for anyone looking to meet like-minded people, whether you’re new to the area or just looking to expand your circle. It's a great one if you're looking to get to know the group also with a low key event. ☕ Please support the café by making a purchase, as we are using their space. ⏰ Timing The event is listed for one hour because that’s the time I can usually commit to as the host, but we almost always stay longer, myself included. Starting April 1, 2026, a valid boater safety certificate will be required for all individuals operating motorboats and PWCs in Massachusetts.
Take the Boat America Boating Safety Class this Winter!
U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary's Boat America course is an 8-session boating safety class open to adults and youth 12 years of age and older. This NASBLA approved course provides the knowledge needed to obtain a Massachusetts or New Hampshire boating certificate. Certificates will be issued to students who pass the final exam.
This 8 Session in-person class is taught Tuesdays from 7:00pm – 8:45pm

This edition of our popular series is for anyone who identifies under the Bi+ umbrella — including bisexual, pansexual, fluid, queer-identified, unlabeled, questioning, and anyone who experiences attraction to more than one gender (M-spec identities) and is for anyone looking to connect in community with others who get it. All LGBTQ+ folks are welcome as long as they support Bi+ inclusion and understand that this space is Bi+-centered. This event is intended as a bi-centered, queer-welcoming space. Because bi-erasure and biphobia are common issues in broader queer spaces, we maintain a clear zero-tolerance policy for any bi-erasing or biphobic comments to ensure this remains a safe, supportive environment for everyone. This is in line with our group’s general respect and inclusion guidelines. Whether you're out and proud, quietly exploring, or still figuring things out, you’re welcome here. We'll gather for casual conversation, friendship, and connection in a cozy, community-oriented environment.
