Large Company Plans to Come to Waltham

The City Council plans to review the proposal in May.

A large, multinational company is planning to move to Waltham, according to Waltham Newswatch.

The firm, which project officials have not yet named, plans to move to the Hobbs Brook building at 303 Wyman St., according to a May 2 Waltham Newswatch report.

Hobbs Brook President & CEO Thomas Dusel told the station the firm is in talks to move into the building and that Hobbs Brook Management would renovate the site at a cost of $150 million. Dusel said it was a "well-recognized" company," and that it would add jobs to the city, according to the report.

No other details were revealed.

Project officials presented their plans to the City Council on Monday, during which they recevied support from several local residents.

The Rules & Ordinance Committee planns to up the issue in May.
