More Waltham High School Tours Coming This Spring

The city has received overwhelming interest for tours of the new high school, prompting more opportunities to see it coming this spring.

WALTHAM, MA — Residents spoke, and Waltham's city officials listened.

After spots for tours of the new Waltham High School building quickly filled up earlier this year, many residents were left with the unfulfilled urge to get a tour of the school.

Waltham officials published a survey recently to see if online comments matched actual demand for additional tours and, this week, reported that they in fact did.

Now, city officials said, additional tours will be scheduled for March 2025.

Though details aren't yet available, the city said sign-ups will open after the new year.

According to school officials, the new high school offers a more "hands-on, project-based learning approach, with 14 different career and technical education programs that integrate into the academic curriculum," officials said.

The former High School at 617 Lexington St. will now house the Waltham Dual Language School, offering a bilingual education, and the new Waltham Valor High School, a "competency-based flexible high school that emphasizes a robust primary person model that allows students to continue or restart on a pathway to high school graduation and post-secondary success."
