National Organization Remembers Waltham's Paul Tracey

On Monday, Tracey will be honored as part of Beyond the Call of Duty's "The End of Watch Ride to Remember".

WALTHAM, MA — A nationwide non-profit is set to honor the late Paul Tracey as part of a cross-country event.

The Waltham Police Department shared that the group, Beyond the Call of Duty, will be present in Waltham on Monday with a trailer in tow honoring "all officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2023, including Waltham Police Officer Paul Tracey."

Tracey, a Waltham police officer, and Jackson, a National Grid employee hailing from Cambridge, were killed at a worksite on Totten Pond Road in Waltham in December 2023.

The deaths led to mass mourning for many across the state, including at a Waltham funeral service for Tracey and a Cambridge service for Jackson, which brought droves of people to each location.

Titled "The End of Watch Ride to Remember", the event visits all cities and towns in the United States that suffered a line of duty death.

The trailer will be parked in front of the Waltham Police Department and open to the public from 3 to 4:15 p.m., officials said.
