Nearly 1K Without Power In Waltham Amid Late Season Nor'easter

Middlesex County has seen wind gusts over 50 mph as the storm moves through the area on Thursday.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham residents are feeling the effects of a late season nor'easter as wind and rain moves through the area on Thursday.

Eversource is reporting as of 10 a.m. that 967 Waltham residents remain without power, about 3 percent of its local customer base.

This comes as much of the state is seeing strong winds and even snowfall. In Middlesex County, the National Weather Service is reporting that wind gusts of over 50 mph have been registered across the county.

Snowfall and sleet totals have also reached more than 3 inches in some parts of the county, with the majority of residents likely seeing a total of around an inch.
