No More Separating Your Recyclables in Waltham
Waltham has launched a new single-stream recycling program.

Hate spending time sorting recyclable items for collection? Good news. You can spend that time doing something else now!
Waltham has begun a single-stream recycling program that allows residents to throw all of their recyclable items into their existing bin or a trash barrel marked with a recycling sticker, according to Consolidated Public Works Director Michael Chiasson. The stickers are available at the CPW Department at 165 Lexington St. Residents may also buy a seperate bin at any store, Chiasson said.
Residents should place their bins or recycling barrel outside of their home on their regular collection day.

The move is intended to ease recycling operations, save the city money and be more environmentally friendly, Chiasson said.
“It should help increase recycling,” he said.
