WALTHAM—Parking in public parking lots just got a little easier. No more digging around your pocket and backseat for quarters.
The City of Waltham has launched a new "Pay by Phone" parking app. Drivers now have the option to pay to park on a cell phone. Pay by Phone capability has been installed in all of the City of Waltham Municipal parking lots, with exception of the Embassy Parking lot.

There is a 25 cent fee to use the app. Once you've paid the fee, you’ll be able to make initial payments, extend parking sessions and pay to park multiple cars all from your phone without having to return to the meter You can also enable reminders/alerts when your parking is close to ending. You won't even need to put a paid ticket on your windshield.

To get started:
- Download “Pay by Phone” in the App Store or in Google Play.
- From here you’ll be prompted to register for an account where you will need to enter your phone number, email address, vehicle(s) license plate number, and your valid payment method. Pay by Phone signs (pictured above) have been installed in Waltham municipal parking lots, each with a different location number.
- You will need to enter the location # on the lot sign AND your specific space/stall number in order to begin your initial payment.
