Taqueria Targets Waltham For Next Opening

The business was approved for a liquor license by the city's licensing committee recently, an important step toward opening.

WALTHAM, MA — A new taqueria looks poised to open in Waltham, though no opening date is clear yet.

Monarca Taqueria was approved by the city's licensing committee at a recent meeting for a transfer of the seven day all alcohol license from Revelry Main, the previous operators at 663 Main Street.

The business is owned by Mario Quinteros and Ana Cavazos, who currently operate the same business in Milford.

A report indicates that the Waltham location would operate in more of a fast-casual environment than a full restaurant.

The restaurant currently serves burritos, tacos, quesabirria and, on the weekends, offers soups.
