Waltham Animal Control Makes Duckling Rescue

When a few ducklings fell through a storm drain in Waltham, animal control officers jumped into action.

WALTHAM, MA — It can be scary to be a young duck, especially when navigating the streets of Waltham.

There was a tense moment or two for a local family of ducks this week, but animal control officers jumped into action to save the day.

On Wednesday, a few ducklings fell through a storm drain at Lexington Street and Trapelo Road.

Officials acted quickly, removing the ducklings from the storm drain and eventually taking the entire family to a pond to be returned to the water safely.
