Waltham Animal Shelter To Host Whiskers & Whiskey Gala For Cat Rescue

WALTHAM, MA — The Cat Connection is having its annual fundraising gala, "Whiskers & Whiskey,” on Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Weston Community Center, located at 20 Alphabet Lane in Weston.

The event features silent and live auctions, Waltham’s own Buddy Bergeron as MC, and a dance demonstration by Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Natick. There will also be live music, a 50/50 cash raffle, raffle baskets, bar and appetizers, and a whiskey tasting. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thecatconnection.org.

The silent auction will be online and go live November 12 here, no ticket needed. Participants can bid on a wide variety of items including: arts and crafts, cool things for your cat, housewares, jewelry, clothing, vintage and collectible items, and more.

Whiskers & Whiskey is The Cat Connection’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It raises
much-needed funds to help pay for medical expenses, food, and the shelter.

"We are well on our way to doubling the number of cats we saved in previous years - we need your
help to achieve that goal by participating in this event!” the organization said in a statement.

Established in 2000, The Cat Connection is a nonprofit Greater Boston cat rescue with a physical shelter in Brighton. The shelter fosters abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens, facilitates adoptions, feeds local cat colonies, and provides spay/neuter and medical assistance to low-income constituents.
