Waltham Early Voting Starts This Weekend
If you're a Waltham local looking to participate in the state primary races there are a few important dates to know.
WALTHAM, MA — Early voting for in the state primaries begins this Saturday in Waltham with a few other deadlines approaching.
The first deadline is one for voter registration. To participate in the primaries, voters must register by Aug. 24.
That date also marks the start of early voting for the September primaries, a period which stretches until Aug. 30.

A vote-by-mail application deadline is set for Aug. 26.
Polling hours for the election are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with polling locations across Waltham available to see here.

Contested primaries on the ballot in Waltham include the Republican candidate for senator, which features a race of Robert Antonellis, Ian Cain, and John Deaton. Cain is a current Quincy City Councilor and Deaton is a former special assistant to the United States Attorney.
The Governor's Councilor race is also contested on the Democratic side, with incumbent Marilyn Petitto Devaney facing a challenge from Mara Dolan.
