Waltham Health Department Lifts Indoor Mask Mandate

Face coverings will now be optional in all indoor public spaces within the city.

WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham Board of Health has lifted the city’s indoor mask mandate, effective immediately.

Face coverings will now be optional in all indoor public spaces within the city. However, due to state regulations, masks will still be required in locations such as on public transportation and in healthcare facilities.

In addition, all Waltham Public Schools will continue to require masks for students and staff until Monday, March 7.
