Waltham High Schools Students Strive for Better Health
Students and organizations hold health fair.
Waltham High School students certainly did not have an excuse to eat poorly on Friday, May 3, especially since the school was holding its 3rd annual health fair that day.
The fair, which began at 8 a.m., featured Waltham-based organizations' resources for helping students stay in shape and eat healthy. Students played video games that included exercise, performed Zumba and dance moves. Local organizations such as REACH Beyond Domestic Violence (a domestic violence assistanec organization) and others were on hand to showcase resources students have for living healthy lives.
Heather Metallides, the director of health and science for grades 6- 12, said she hopes students use the additional resources to make healthy life choices.
