Waltham July 4: What To Know Ahead Of Sunday Fireworks Show
From when the festivities start to where to watch, here's what to know ahead of the weekend fireworks display in Waltham.
WALTHAM, MA — Fourth of July is fast approaching, and the traditional fireworks celebration in Waltham comes even sooner.
In Waltham, the annual fireworks show is scheduled for June 29. They will be set off from a barge set up in the Charles River near Moody Street Bridge, officials said.
Fireworks are set to begin at dusk, but The Moody Street Bridge — 139 Moody St. at the Riverwalk to Moody/Pine Streets — will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to pedestrian traffic only starting at 4 p.m.

The Waltham Recreation Department is also hosting a free July 4th Family Celebration at Prospect Hill Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring food vendors, music, inflatables, patriotic crafts & games, amusements and more.
In addition to traditional viewing spots, Margarita's Mexican Restaurant is set to host an al fresco viewing party on its patio.

For an $80 reservation, guests get a choice of four signature margaritas in flavors including original, strawberry, raspberry, mango, black cherry, peach, passionfruit, pineapple and watermelon.
The restaurant will also offer its seasonal "Lobster Fiesta" menu which includes items like lobster queso, quesadillas and nachos, plus a lobster roll.
