Waltham Man Charged With Groping Northeastern Student

The student said she was groped while on a run last week. A Waltham man has been charged in the incident.

WALTHAM, MA — A Waltham man faces charges after a Northeastern University student said she was groped while jogging.

Carlos Miguel Pinto is being held without bail after he was charged with indecent assault and battery and providing false identification to police.

Officials said the student reported that she was groped around 4:50 p.m. on Thursday in front of a research facility on campus.

She reported the incident to the university police, but it was the Boston Police Department that spotted Pinto about an hour later on Massachusetts Avenue.

Initially, Pinto told police his name was Toni Arizona and that his mother was Princess Diana, a report said.

His next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 1.
