Waltham Police Department Lit Green For Veterans Day

The green lights came on Monday night and will last through Nov. 11, the department said.

WALTHAM, MA — The Waltham Police Department is lit green this week in honor of Veterans Day.

The green lights came on Monday night and will last through Nov. 11, the department said.

The city is asking residents and businesses to join a campaign launched by Mindful Healthcare Agency and change one light on their property to green in support of Waltham’s Veterans.

"Lets Support Our Vets! Starting last night we lit up the station green to support our veterans. Join us by placing a green light in a window or replacing your front porch light with a green bulb,” WPD said on its Facebook page.

Participants can share their support by taking pictures of their green lights and posting them social media using the hashtags #GreenLightAvet #MindfulHealthCareAgency.
