Waltham Policeman Runs Boston Marathon For Officer Charlie Cleaver
Officer Bruce Cleaver teamed up with Beth Israel Lahey Health and was able to raise over $8,500 dollars for their Greatest Needs fund.

WALTHAM, MA — Waltham Police Officer Bruce Cleaver completed the Boston Marathon Monday in honor of Officer Charlie Gryska, said the department in a Facebook post.
"Charlie was a beloved member of our Department who succumbed after a courageous battle with a rare type of Glioblastoma brain tumor called diffuse midline glioma in late 2019,” the department wrote. "He left behind an adoring wife and three young children."
Cleaver teamed up with Beth Israel Lahey Health and was able to raise over $8,500 dollars for their Greatest Needs fund, which supports the hospital’s most important initiatives and needs in patient care, medical training, and research.

"Congratulations Bruce! Thank you for all your effort in continuing to honor Charlie’s memory and his spirit of loyalty and service,” the department said.
