Waltham Public Library Tackles The Issue of Fake News

WALTHAM, Mass.– Waltham Public Library is having an event tonight about how locals can analyze the media they read .Join University of Massachusetts professor, Allison Butler, for a discussion about navigating the media. What is fake news? How can you evaluate it?

Butler co-runs Mass Media Literacy, a grassroots organization the supports legislation for teacher training in media literacy and builds curriculum for comprehensive media literacy across K-12 public schools in Massachusetts.

The event is tonight, Monday, August 14 at 6:30pm (Lecture Hall) at 735 Main Street.
