Waltham Snow Emergency Parking Ban Announced Ahead Of Winter Storm

WALTHAM, MA — A winter storm could bring up to 10 inches of snow in Massachusetts today, prompting Waltham officials to declare a snow emergency parking ban.
The parking ban begins at 4 p.m. on Sunday, city officials said. No on-street parking is permitted during the ban.
"Cars may park in municipal and public-school parking lots, but please be advised that cars must be removed from school parking lots within two hours of the parking ban being lifted or your cars will be towed," officials said. "You will have 24 hours to remove cars from municipal lots after the parking ban has been lifted."

The National Weather Service projects between 4 to 8 inches of snow locally, with a winter storm warning in effect.
NWS officials said the heaviest snow is expected between 6 p.m. and midnight, causing slick roads that could make travel dangerous.
