Diaz is a volunteer at the Waltham Boys & Girls Club (WBGC), where she completed two internships and has helped serve more than 2,000 meals to families. She said her experiences with WBGC have helped her feel more connected to her community.
“My identity and experiences as a bi-racial Latina have taught me the importance of being a leader within my community and engaging in service to others,” Diaz said in a statement. "I will use my connections and resources to be a notorious leader through understanding, planning, inspiring, and making space for everyone’s voice to be heard.”
