Waltham University Is Among The Best For Long-Term Career Success
The school made LinkedIn's top-50 list, one of eight Massachusetts colleges and universities to do so.
WALTHAM, MA — A Waltham university is among the best in the country for students hoping to set themselves up for long-term career success.
LinkedIn released its first-ever list of the top 50 U.S. colleges for long-term career success and eight Massachusetts schools made the list. That includes Bentley University.
Massachusetts' eight schools were more than from any other state. Pennsylvania was second with seven.

LinkedIn said the list was based on "five pillars: job placement; internships and recruiter demand; career success; network strength; and knowledge breadth."

"Each of the five pillars is weighed equally," the site said. "Most pillars are made up of two metrics, each accounting for half of that pillar's weight — except for job placement, which is based on a single metric accounting for the full weight of the pillar."
Among the notable alumni from Bentley University are Jay Leno, former Massachusetts Gov. Edward J. King, American businessman James F. Donovan and the drummer Mike Mangini.

The list represents colleges that "best set graduates up for long-term success," according to LinkedIn.
