WALTHAM, MA — Waltham's positive COVID-19 test rate is now at 8.32 percent, a 0.56 percent decrease from last week, according to the latest municipal-level data released by the Department of Public Health Thursday.
This week, Waltham reported a two-week case count of 189 compared to last week’s count of 200. The total positive test number reported was 217. The average daily case rate was 20.7, and there were 2,609 tests administered in the last two weeks.
The Department of Public Health on Thursday reported 9,954 new coronavirus cases in the last week, as well as 38 new deaths and 4,527 vaccine doses administered.

The latest state vaccine report showed the number of fully vaccinated residents rose to more than 5.43 million. Booster doses were given to about 3.16 million residents.
