Waltham's Embassy Theatre Reopens

Landmark's Embassy Theatre shut down in Sept. 2022​ citing a lack of ticket sales. It reopened on Friday.

WALTHAM, MA — Embassy Theatre in Waltham has reopened a little more than a year since it shut down.

The theatre made a return to 16 Pine St. on Oct. 13 with screenings of the new Taylor Swift concert film.

Upcoming screenings at the theatre include "Killers of the Flower Moon" and "The Color Purple".

Landmark's Embassy Theatre shut down in Sept. 2022 citing a lack of ticket sales, according to prior Patch reporting.

The theatre opened in a nearby location in 1928 then moved to 16 Pine Street. It has been operated by Landmark since 1998.
