Waltham's Kevin Ritcey Public Service Award Nomination Window Opens

The deadline for nominations is April 11. Here's how to nominate someone.

WALTHAM, MA — The nomination window for the Kevin M. Ritcey Award for Outstanding Public Service is open.

The Waltham City Council established this award in 2016 to honor Ritcey, who officials describe as "one of Waltham’s most dedicated and respected community leaders."

Last year's winners were Jack Cox and Glenna Gelineau.

This year's award presentation will take place at a special meeting of the City Council, officials said.

To submit a nomination, people are asked to provide a one-page narrative that details "the outstanding public service contributions of your nominee."

Your name, phone number and email address should be included so someone may contact you.

Any questions and nominations should be sent to Tom Magno, Clerk of the Ad Hoc Committee to Recommend the Recipient of the Kevin M. Ritcey Award, at tmagno@city.waltham.ma.us.

Nominations may also be delivered to Magno at the Treasures Department, City Hall, 610 Main St., in Waltham.

The deadline for nominations is April 11.
