Waltham's Mighty Squirrel Pairs Beer, Food For Mass Beer Week
The Waltham brewery will welcome a lineup of area food trucks for special beer and food pairings during Mass Beer Week.
WALTHAM, MA — Mighty Squirrel in Waltham will join in on the Mass Beer Week festivities with a beer and food pairing schedule.
The activation at the 411 Waverley Oaks Rd. location began on Saturday, but continues through Saturday, coinciding with the schedule of the state beer week.
Mass Beer Week runs from March 1-8, bringing together breweries, bars, restaurants and retailers across the state to celebrate Massachusetts-made craft beer. The weeklong event features exclusive beer releases, tastings, live entertainment, brewery tours and special events designed for craft beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.

"Mass Beer Week is a time to showcase the incredible creativity and passion of our local breweries," said Katie Stinchon, executive director at the Mass Brewers Guild. "Whether you're a hophead, a lager lover, or just enjoy supporting local businesses, there’s something for everyone. Get out there and show local breweries some love."

- Monday: Ya Mother's Truck 'N' Kitchen
- Tuesday: Taqueria Mariana
- Wednesday: Ya Mother's Truck 'N' Kitchen
- Thursday: Gonzalez Mexican
- Friday: Chicken & Rice Guys and Tandoor & Curry on Wheels
- Saturday: Taqueria Mariana and Kith & Kin
Each food truck will partner with Mighty Squirrel to pair a menu item with a beer, highlighting both products.
For those hoping to enjoy a beer at multiple locations, a brewery passport challenge is ongoing. People who visit all participating breweries in Central Mass, Marlborough/Hudson or Somerville be entered to win a grand prize filled with brewery merch and gift cards.
Part of the annual Mass Beer Week tradition is also glassware. This year’s 16 oz Willi Becher glass, designed by local artist Meredith Price, will be available at participating breweries for just $6 while supplies last.
