Academic, Athletic All-Stars from Wayland

WAYLAND, MA - These Wayland residents have been making a splash at their respective institutes of learning. Check out the accolades they're earning.

• Jeremy Honig of Wayland, Mass., a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2015 semester.
• Tyler Peyton of Wayland, Mass., participated in the 2016 Elevator Pitch competition at Champlain College. The contest, which is put on by Champlain College's Build Your Own Business (BYOBiz) Program, Career Services, the Center for Service & Civic Engagement and the Office of Advancement, requires students to give a 90-second "pitch" about a business idea to an executive (who is known as "the suit") as they ride together in a fictional elevator. The three categories of competition are Entrepreneurs, Job/Internship Seekers, and Non-Profit/Social Advocates.
• Margaret D. Lin has been named to the President's List at Clemson University for the fall 2015 semester. Lin is majoring in Secondary Education.
• Jonah Greenawalt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent D. Greenawalt of Wayland, Mass., is majoring in English and was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2015.
• Jenny Rosenfield, the daughter of Mr. Robert Rosenfield and Mrs. Marjorie Halperin of Wayland, Mass., is majoring in environmental studies and was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2015.
• Katherine Traquina, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry M. Traquina of Wayland, Mass., is majoring in environmental studies and was named to the dean's list at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2015.
• Kevin Yun, of Wayland, has been named to the Dean's List at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the Fall 2015 semester. Yun studies Computer & Systems Engineering.
• Alexander Bierman, of Wayland, has been named to the 2015 fall semester Dean's List at Lafayette College for outstanding academic achievement.
• Devon Kaplan, a resident of Wayland, MA, has been named to the Fall 2015 Dean's List at Roger Williams University.
• Jesse Vogel, studying in the computer science program, made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for fall semester 2015-2016. 
• Liam Fay, studying in the physician assistant program, made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for fall semester 2015-2016.
• Jake Baxter was named to the Dean's Honor List for the Fall 2015 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
• Jonathan Patsenker was named to the Dean's Honor List for the Fall 2015 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
• Callie Dayno of Wayland received the Coaches' Award for the Girls' JV Basketball team at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School's Winter Awards Night.
