Boston Marathon 2023 Results: 13 Wayland Residents Compete

See the finishing times of all the Wayland runners who completed the 127th Boston Marathon.

WAYLAND, MA — The 127th Boston Marathon is in the books with more than 30,000 athletes completing the 26.2-mile course from Hopkinton to Boylston Street on Patriots' Day.

Evans Chebet of Kenya took first place among the men with a finishing time of 2:05:54, which is about a minute faster than his first-place finish in 2022. 2:06:51. Hellen Obiri of Kenya won the women's division with a time of 2:21:38, about 37 seconds slower than Peres Jepchirchir 2022 first-place women's finish.

But apart from the most elite runners in the world, plenty of local runners completed the marathon. Thirteen Wayland residents completed the course on Monday.
