Brush Fire Breaks Out At Wayland, Natick Line
Firefighters from Natick and Wayland responded to the fire Monday evening.

WAYLAND, MA — Firefighters from Natick and Wayland teamed up Monday to fight a brush fire in a wooded area along Route 30.
The fire burned about 1 acre just before the Natick line, the Wayland Fire Department reported Monday around 7:30 p.m. Firefighters from Framingham and Lincoln also assisted by covering fire stations in Wayland and Natick.
Although brush fire season typically ramps up during hot summer months, the breezy and dry weather seen on Monday can contribute to forest fires.

Massachusetts is also still in the midst of open burning season, which is allowed until May 1.
