Detour In Wayland Will Last Weeks For Gas Line Replacement

The road closure will begin Thursday and last "a few weeks," according to the town.

WAYLAND, MA — Drivers in Wayland may encounter a detour in the coming weeks as utility work takes over a main road.

Starting Thursday, construction crews will be replacing a gas line under Sherman's Bridge Road. The detour will last the "next few weeks," according to Wayland police.

Local residents will be able to access Sherman's Bridge Road, but other drivers will have to detour around between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, police said.
