WAYLAND, MA — The town closed two local roads on Saturday due to flooding following snow and rain in recent days.

Pelham Island Road and River Road were both closed. Both roads run near the Sudbury River north and south of Route 20.

The Wayland area has seen significant precipitation, including an inch or more of snow in many parts of town, plus rain, during a nor'easter that ended Thursday evening. Warmer temperatures melted much of that snow, while rain showers continued throughout the day Saturday.
