Gratitude for Wayland from Christina Rodrigo, School Committee-elect

I am looking forward to serving our schools and students in our vibrant community

Dear Waylanders,

I sit here after the election, excited for the future of Wayland’s schools. First, I would like to thank all of the voters who turned out to participate in the town election! Thank you for believing in me as one of your next leaders. Yesterday I saw so much enthusiasm from all of the candidates, our supporters, and voters, and it’s this energy that will put the wind in my sails to serve Wayland’s schools and students!

It’s been great to meet so many Waylanders over the past few months. Through all of you, I’ve learned a tremendous amount about the different organizations and people doing important work to support our schools, students, and community. I’ve had many interesting conversations and listened to people’s concerns, and I hope you will continue to see me as a person you can turn to. We all have a role to play in our community and it truly takes a village.

Finally, I would like to give a hearty thank you to the many people who helped me along the way! I would especially like to thank my husband Jason, who empowers me to take on new professional and personal challenges every day.

I look forward moving Wayland forward, together.
