WAYLAND, MA — The town is inviting residents to an informational meeting regarding a new project that would affect the town's water supply.

Wayland's engineering consultant, Kleinfelder, is set to design a new permanent interconnection to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority water supply. The town said that this infrastructure will help Wayland meet its water supply and water quality needs.

The project will include a new water transmission pipeline, which will connect to the MWRA Shaft L. near Oxbow Road in Framingham. It will run parallel to the existing MWRA Hutman Aqueduct to a new pump station near Castle Road.
