Route 30 Closed In Wayland Due To Downed Utility Pole: FD
The Wayland Fire Department is warning drivers to avoid the area Wednesday morning.

WAYLAND, MA — A portion of Commonwealth Road (Route 30) was closed in Wayland Wednesday morning due to a downed utility police, according to the fire department.
The snapped utility pole was dangling over the road near 390 Commonwealth Road, which is near the intersection of Rice Road/Oak Street.
The fire officials did not immediately report why the pole was snapped, but the incident did not appear related to a car crash, according to an image tweeted by the department.

"Eversource is assessing the situation and working to resolve the issue. The road is expected to be closed for the next couple of hours while Eversource repairs the damaged pole," the town said in an alert to residents around 9:30 a.m.
