Shortage Of Wayland Athletic Fields Will Be Topic Of Forum

Wayland is developing plans to possibly expand athletic fields in town.

WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland Select Board on Monday will host a town-wide forum on gather input on the future of athletic fields in town.

Here's more from a town news release:

On Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. the Wayland Board of Selectmen will hold a Community Forum to discuss current and future field needs of Wayland and how we can address those needs successfully and in a timely manner. This forum will be held, in person, at the Wayland Town Building and virtually through Zoom at the link below.

The Town of Wayland is currently faced with a shortage of athletic fields to meet the demands and needs of the Town’s recreational services. This forum will solicit feedback from all stakeholders and the members of the public to assist us in developing a short term and long term plan moving forward to meet the current and future demands and needs of the Town. We invite any and all persons interested to please come and provide their feedback. We look forward to a productive discussion about the future of Wayland Fields.
