Two Wayland Post-Prom 'Late Nights' In 2023 Seek Support

Wayland will have junior and senior proms in 2023, and that also means two sober post-prom parties.

WAYLAND, MA — For the first time in several years, Wayland will host two high school proms in May, and that means a community post-prom tradition needs a little more support.

The traditional Wayland Late Night post-prom sober parties will be held after the senior prom on May 6 and the junior prom on May 13. The events, held at the Wayland High School field house, provide music, dancing and food for students into the early morning hours.

"Wayland Late Night is funded by student families and local businesses. Due to COVID-19, there will be both junior and senior proms this year and each will have a Late Night. The estimated cost to run both Late Nights is $30,000. The average cost per student and suggested family donation amount is $85. Please keep in mind not every student family is able to make this donation and consider donating more if you are able," the organizers said on the fundraising page.
