Wayland 2024 Election: Everything To Know Before You Vote
The annual spring election in Wayland is more subdued than usual because there are no contested races on the ballot.

WAYLAND, MA — Voters in Wayland will head to the polls Tuesday for the 2024 town election, which will feature no contested races, but plenty of new faces coming to town government.
This year, 19 people are running for seats on the select board, school committee, planning board and nine others. There will be a huge amount of turnover in this year's election: only seven incumbents are on the ballot (and that's including one candidate who's running after being appointed to the Trust Fund Commission).
In the select board election, incumbent Carol Martin will seek her second term, while semi-incumbent Doug Levine is stepping up for a new term after serving on the board between 2017 and 2020. Member Adam Gutbezhal is not seeking a new term this year.

Kate Sambuco and Elizabeth Cullen will join the school committee after the election. They will take over for four-term incumbent Ellen Grieco, and Jeanne Downs, who was appointed in 2023 after former member Jessica Polizotti resigned. Downs returned to the committee after bowing out of the 2023 election.
Here's everything you need to know about who's running in 2024, and how to vote.

Where, when to vote
Polls will be open in Wayland from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The town will offer two polling places, depending on your precinct.
- Wayland Town Building gym: precincts 1 and 4
- Wayland Middle School: precincts 2 and 3
Voting by mail
If you've opted to vote by mail this year, ballots are due back to the town clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day. It's likely too late to actually mail your ballot as of today, so your safest bet is to hand it in at the clerk's office. You cannot drop ballots off at polling places.
